A display device is connected to a controller, typically a powerful computer referred to as a media player. The media player stores the digital content locally to ensure smooth playback of media-rich advertising and information using a digital connection to deliver a crisp output signal to the LCD display. The content is remotely managed from a central location - over the Internet or corporate Intranet, enabling real-time marketing updates, emergency announcements and even live content feeds.
Our solutions are designed with a high degree of redundancy to ensure your digital content always runs smoothly; and systems are non-proprietary to make certain hardware fits within the standards set by your internal IT department. A content server is typically housed at a central location and provides the database to store not only your content, but the scheduling and control information for the displays. This data is then replicated out to each media player on the network, ensuring the displays continue to function even in the event of a network interruption.
